Who are we?

Biblical Counseling & Leadership Development

Strategy & History

Our strategy is to equip by example all ages to normalize leading in today’s world by God’s design for God’s glory.

In 2012, Rick was encouraged by his local church to begin a more formalized biblical counseling ministry. Safe Harbour Counseling was launched, which provided biblical soul care to individuals and couples. In addition, there arose increasing opportunities to provide career coaching to those beginning or transitioning their vocation. God brought together Rick’s pastoral and business experience with his passion to see people live out God’s design and lead by example for God’s glory.

In 2016, there was a merging of Rick’s pastoral, biblical counseling, and career coaching ministry to launch Leadership Today. The vision was cast to increase biblical synergy in all areas of a Christian’s life and leadership.

In 2019, Leadership Today is launching a campaign to rally awareness and participation in Biblical Fitness.  Initiatives will be released that leverage Rick’s personal journey to uncompartmentalized faith and fitness in all areas of life.

Passion

Leadership Today’s passion is seeing God transform lives by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and enable them to live by Divine design. (Ephesians 2:1-10)

Mission

Leadership Today’s mission is to invest in the spiritual fitness and leadership development of all ages, so they lead in today’s world for God’s glory. (1Timothy 1:16; 2Timothy 3:16-17)

About Rick

Rick engages pastoral leadership through biblical counseling and coaching of Christian leaders within the church, non-profit and private sectors. He has been recognized as caring deeply for those around him, developing people spiritually and professionally, and leadership that is strategic–collaborative–and achieving positive team results. (2Timothy 2:1-2)

“If the iron is blunt, and one does not sharpen the edge, he must use more strength, but wisdom helps one to succeed.” (Ecclesiastes 10:10)
